Paint Correction in Youngstown, OH
Swirls Out.
Gloss
Back In.
Swirl marks, water spots, buffer trails, and fine scratches do not buff out on their own. Paint correction is machine polishing with the right compounds, pads, and speeds to remove the defects in your clear coat and bring back the depth and clarity the paint had on day one.
- Paint measured before we polish
- Three levels of correction
- Priced after we see the paint

The Basics
What Is Paint Correction?
Every automatic wash, dirty towel, and winter scrape leaves microscopic scratches in your clear coat. Thousands of them scatter light in every direction, which is what makes paint look dull, hazy, and covered in spiderwebs under the sun.
Paint correction removes those defects instead of hiding them. We machine polish the clear coat with the right combination of compound, pad, and speed for your paint, leveling the surface so light reflects evenly again.
The result is color that looks deeper and gloss that looks wet, and it is the only right way to prep paint before a ceramic coating.
What Correction Does
The Benefits
Removes Paint Defects
Swirl marks, fine scratches, water spots, and buffer trails are leveled out of the clear coat, not covered up with fillers.
Restores Color Depth
Once the surface is flat again, light stops scattering and your color reads richer and darker, the way it did off the lot.
Enhances Surface Gloss
A corrected clear coat reflects like a mirror. Reflections sharpen and the finish looks wet even when it is dry.
Prepares for Protection
Correction is the right first step before a ceramic coating, so the coating seals in flawless paint instead of locking in defects.
How It Works
The Process
Five steps, no shortcuts. Every one of them is there to protect your clear coat while we bring the finish back.
-
1
Initial Inspection
We walk the vehicle under proper lighting and map every swirl, scratch, and spot so you know exactly what correction will and will not fix.
-
2
Surface Preparation
Foam bath, hand wash, iron removal, and clay bar. Polishing dirty paint just grinds the dirt in, so this step is never skipped.
-
3
Paint Measurement
A paint depth gauge tells us how much clear coat each panel has to work with, so we correct aggressively where it is safe and carefully where it is thin.
-
4
Correction Process
Compound and polish, panel by panel, with the pad and speed matched to your paint. One or two stages depending on the package.
-
5
Final Wipe Down
A panel wipe strips polishing oils so the true result shows, then sealant and tire dressing finish the job. Or the paint goes straight under a ceramic coating.
